Pendulum Crypto Wallet (iOS App)

Pendulum is a conceptual prototype for a crypto wallet with social and digital collectible features. I designed this app to envision a wallet app that I would find useful amidst an ecosystem that currently de-emphasizes digital collectibles and clear information design.

Compendium

Year: 2024

Compendium is a work-in-progress digital art gallery solution offering unique standalone web apps for displaying digital and generative art. I am developing the product itself as well as designing the brand, website, and digital app front-end and back-end admin area.

Twelve Days of CryptoArt

Role: Curation, Branding, Web Design, Full Stack Development, Typescript/Javascript, SvelteKit, Solidity

Year: 2023

Twelve Days of CryptoArt is an art-centric online event for digital art collectors. I am the lead curator and responsible for everything from branding to curation and even designing the app and writing the app in SvelteKit and the Solidity smart contract.

Wallace Museum

Role: Product Design, Branding, Database Architecture, Typescript/Javascript, SvelteKit

Year: 2023

Wallace Museum is a new online art gallery dedicated to showcasing generative art in a new and unique format. Most galleries employ a simply grid-based layout while Wallace Museum feels more like a virtual museum with paintings spread across a wall. I created the branding, designed the app, coded the experience, and curated the works. I also wrote an imported to collect works held in Ethereum and Tezos wallets.

Woodies: Origin

Role: Executive Creative Direction

Year: 2022

Woodies: Origin is a unique short film telling the story of magical tree creatures who have awakened in the forest after an evil logger shows up with his machines. I hired and directed an international media production company to create this Hollywood-grade animated short film, engrossing fans in the Woodies universe within a span of six months.

Legends of Wondermist

Role: Graphic Design, Logo Design, Website Design, Strategy

Year: 2022

Legends of Wondermist is a set of digital collectible cards with four different levels of rarity: common, uncommon, rare, and legendary. I worked with a small team of artists and developers to produce artwork, design cards for each rarity, and craft a mint experience that is both fun and visually exciting. I designed the logo, website, and card templates myself. Artists for the series include Mike Shinoda (of Linkin Park), DesLucrece, Victoria Lopez, Waxbones, Luna Leonis, and Amrit Pal Singh.

Woodies Website

Role: Design, Front-End Development

Year: 2021

Released to support the launch of the Woodies initial digital collectible PFP project, I designed most of the website and developed some unique features myself in Javascript/SvelteKit. The website includes a collection browser with a preview/download functionality for each Woodies 3D model.

UltraDAO Website

Role: Branding, Design, Front-End Development, Curation

Year: 2021

UltraDAO is a studio for digital art and collectibles started in 2021 as a decentralized, autonomous organization. The website offers memberships for creators and collectors and hosts a variety of digital art projects. I designed the brand identity, website, and acted as curator for the UltraDAO Curated collections.

California DMV Digital Transformation

Role: Executive Creative Direction

Year: 2020

As the design executive over the 10up Experience Design team, I helped direct a landmark design project for our agency: a comprehensive rethinking of the California DMV website and application suite. I collaborated with other executives to assemble and direct this large design team, working towards key milestones. One in every ten drivers in the U. S. is licensed through the California DMV.

Starbucks Stories & News Redesign

Role: Branding, Design, Creative Direction

Year: 2020

Starbucks Stories & News is the online newsroom for Starbucks Corporate. I collaborated with one of our Lead Designers to deliver key creative direction and design production for the new Starbucks Stories & News experience, including visual design, branding, and interaction design. I personally designed the current Stories & News logo, the navigation, and media/downloads section of the website.

Google Site Kit

Role: Executive Creative Direction

Year: 2019

In partnership with Google, we launched a WordPress plugin that integrates Google's suite of products in one location. Site Kit quickly gained adoption among website owners, thanks to a design language that strikingly represented both Google's identity and the WordPress admin environment. I worked with a Lead Designer in a Creative Director role to deliver product design that perfectly integrated the design language of Google into the WordPress dashboard.

GoDaddy Go Theme

Role: Executive Creative Direction

Year: 2019

I collaborated with two senior designers on a project for returning client, GoDaddy. We developed a computational design system capable of producing an endless variety of themes, resulting in a surge in user signups and WordPress users for GoDaddy. Assisted the client and internal designers with valuable insights, critiqued design progress, and worked closely with the engineering team to ensure optimal implementation of our work.

Mad Men: The Fan Cut

Role: Creative Direction

Year: 2015

As the Creative Director, I helped lead the design of the "Mad Men: The Fan Cut" web application celebrating AMC's flagship series. This involved creating a marketing mini-site with a custom video user submission app. We built a WordPress-powered app for fans to claim and recreate short clips from the series, uploaded to YouTube and submitted for editorial review. The app featured a modern design that respected the 1960s and 70s aesthetic of "Mad Men," with elements like parallax scrolling and the iconic logo and silhouette.

The Walking Dead Story Sync

Role: Creative Direction

Year: 2012

We partnered with AMC Networks to design and develop an award winning second-screen TV companion app. This ground-breaking work was featured by the creator of WordPress, Matt Mullenweg, at WordCamp San Francisco and awarded the prize for Best Second Screen TV App at the 2012 Variety Awards. The following year Story Sync was nominated for the Best iPad or Tablet Social TV Application at the 2013 Social TV Awards. In 2013 The Walking Dead Story Sync was nominated for the Outstanding Interactive Program at the 2013 Emmys.

When IFC needed a responsive redesign and WordPress implementation, we were excited to answer the call by designing a bold new look and fresh user experience. I led the visual design and partnered with our UX lead to craft a mobile-first responsive website with high information and media density. Working under strict requirements for takeover ads and business goals, we navigated complex stakeholders needs to deliver a product everyone was excited about.
